I love you,Man

Hi everybody, Murphy and Homer won't be happy with me but I thought I would post this pic anyway.

I think that this photo was the basis of the bromance movie "I love you, Man"

Clearly a breach of copyright that should be worth millions! Don't tell the boys! - Russ

Crikey

Hi all, its Homer here. I've pinched Murphy's log on as I wanted to tell you about a strange experience I had this morning.

I was just reading about Steve Irwin day being today on the Australia Zoo website before I went for my morning patrol around the House of Hound with Murphy. We were down the back when we saw this ghostly image next to me and .. well have a look for yourself.

Sorry about the quality of this shot but Murphy was a bit startled when "Steve" appeared.

Crikey, get a load of this little beauty!

To be honest, it looks a lot like dad but I'm not sure how he managed the hair?

Oh, I see!

While there is no argument Steve was a full on individual there is no doubt he loved animals and worked tirelessly to protect them. Have a look at the Australia zoo website link above for ways to help continue his good work.

Anyway, I'm off to the local 7-11 to see if I can spot Elvis or Michael Jackson. See you later - Homer.

Undurba School Fete

Freddy and I headed to the Undurba State School today for their annual fete. It was a very hot fine day and there were heaps of people there.

The GAP dogs were a big hit with loads of people stopping by for some pats and we got a good level of inquiries about greyhound adoption.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Security was tight for my arrival.

Very tight!

Freddy being cute.

Me being cuter.

Ah, get it off, get it off!

Coco & Friend

Red gets some lovin'.

Is that my lunch?

Mmm...Ice Cream!

Fifi the foster and house mate.

There was also a show and shine at the fete but it did little to take attention away from the greys.

Me getting mobbed by the rural fire brigade koala and my other fans from the school. Sorry show & shine!

Coco sharing the love

Kirsty hit the stalls for goodies.

Coco doing her bit for GAP sponsor Advance.

Me and my pack.

Freddy had a great day. As well as dishing out the love, he managed to beat his PB and piddle on two police cars, a fire engine and an ambulance.

Hopefully Freddy's record will soon be forgotten and we will be asked back again next year. Bye for now Readers - Murphy.

How You Doin'?

Its springtime at the House of Hound and a young man's thoughts turn to ... well pretty much what young men think about all the time.

Anyway, I thought you might like this short movie of our resident peacock,P1,trying his luck with one of the girls. As you can see, she isn't the slightest bit interested but you have to give him an A for effort.

Bye for now - Murphy.

Queensland University Walk & Breakfast

The dog luver's team got an early start and went for a walk around the UQ campus this morning.

It was already very warm and humid at 07:00 hours (thunder storms are predicted for later today). The grounds looked especially lovely now that the jacaranda trees are in bloom with their purple flowers.

All the hounds had a good time and we even managed to share some egg on toast with Dad (when he wasn't looking).

A Halloween Surprise For The Power Company ?

Hi Readers, strange noises where heard coming from our fuse box last night. Investigations had to wait until this morning and this is what we found.

This should prove amusing the next time an unsuspecting meter reader throws the fuse box door open and finds my little friend inside. Water dragons are harmless of course but can give you a love nip if you bother them. This guy likes to play dead even if touched and then spring into action to run away.

I hope I'm here when it happens! - Bye for now - Murphy

Ready Freddy?

Or alternatively titled "Don't cross the streams". I'd like you to meet Freddy, our latest foster boy. He is five years old, very friendly and loves a bit of rough housing. Of course, having three boys in the house does cause some issues at walk time as we seem to have a shortage of power poles in the area and therefore we all need to mark them as our own. This then leads to danger of crossing the streams which we all know is a bad idea.

Anyway - here are some pics of Freddy with a warning from the ghost busters team. Bye for now - Murphy
